RATES AND CHARGES FOR ELECTRIC POWER AND ENERGY

RESOLUTION NO. 2007-02

As of January 30, 2007

Residential Customers

  • $0.0770 per KWH for the first 400 KWH
  • $ 1.00 for KWH 401
  • $0.0940 per KWH for 402 - 1,000
  • $ 3.00 for KWH 1,001
  • $0.1160 per KWH for 1,002 and above
  • $11.00 monthly service charge for residential accounts.

 

Small Commercial (peak demand does not exceed 35 KW during any billing period)

  • $0.11772 per KWH for the first 500 KWH
  • $0.0911 per KWH for more than 500 but not more than 10,000 KWH
  • $0.0608 per KWH for usage over 10,000 KWH
  • $6.20 per KW for peak demand over 5 KW
  • $25.00 monthly service charge for small commercial accounts.

 

Large Commercial (peak demand is greater than 35 KW during any billing period)

  • $0.1161 per KWH for the first 10,000 KWH
  • $0.0783 per KWH for 10,001 to 100,000 KWH
  • $0.0707 per KWH for usage over 100,000 KWH
  • $6.90 per KW for peak demand over 5 KW
  • $35.00 monthly service charge for large commercial accounts.

 

Large Commercial (Interruptible)

  • $0.1161 per KWH for the first 10,000 KWH
  • $0.0783 per KWH for 10,001 to 100,000 KWH
  • $0.0707 per KW for usage over 100,000 KWH
    • No demand charge unless demand exceeds 1,800 KW during the billing cycle - if demand exceeds 1,800 KW a full demand charge will be billed at the Large Commercial demand rate for all demand over 5 KW.
  • $35.00 monthly service charge for large commercial (interruptible) accounts.

Large Industrial (Peak demand exceeding 10,000 KW)

  • $0.0621 per KWH
  • $9.95 per KWH maximum demand over 5 K
    • Must maintain power factor of 95% lagging or pay a pentalty.
  • $55.00 monthly service charge for large industrial accounts.
    • Customers are expected to maintain a power factor of 95% lagging, or higher. If the average power factor is found to be less than 95% laagging, the monthly kilowatthour consumption as recorded by the meter, will be incerased 3/4 of 1% that the power factor is less than 95% lagging. Billing will be based upon the regular demand rate.

In case of any discrepancy between this posting and the City Resolution in force governing electric rates for the city, the City Resolution in force shall apply.
