ONLINE REGISTRATION NOTICESpringville City Recreation has changed their online registration program. Here are a few changes to take not of: You will need to create a Login ID (email address) and a Password for xpressrec.com. The program will prompt you to create a family profile. This will be easier for everyone registering because you will only need to enter personal information once, and the system will know which leagues your child can sign up for. Youth Sports Information
Girls Softball
Registrations start Monday February 1 at 9am for all girls which are in Pre-K to 9 th grades that wish to play softball this summer. You can register in our office or online at www.springville.org until Friday March 12 at 5pm. All registrations made after Friday March 12 at 5pm will be charged a $10.00 late fee. Players are responsible to provide their own cleats, gloves and pants.

Are you a 3 rd to 6 th grade student who wants to play Lacrosse? Registration is February 15 to March 26 at 5pm. The fee for this league is $60.00, which includes a jersey and rental equipment. Games begin May 29, 2010. You can register in our office or online.
Hershey Track
Watch for entry forms coming through your school in December. This is a free program through Springville City Recreation. 3 rd grade April 13, 2010

Adult Sports Information
Men’s Slow Pitch
Registrations for Men’s Slow Pitch will start March 29, 2010. Please stop by our office for an information packet after March 22, which will contain a roster. The deadline for this league will be April 16 at 5pm.
Mixed Softball
Registrations for Mixed Softball will start March 29, 2010. Please stop by our office for an information packet after March 22, which will contain a team roster. The deadline for this league will be April 16 at 5pm.
Special Events
Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Egg Hunt will be held the Saturday before Easter. Watch your newspapers for exact time and location.
Springville Pottery Workshop
Location: Springville Community Services Bldg. Rear Entrance.
Time: Thursdays 6 to 8:30 pm except holiday weeks.
Registration Fee: 10 sessions for $30.00.
Super Sitter
This 8 hour course teaches boys and girls ages 11 thru 14 how to be a Super Babysitter! This class covers safety fist-aid, selection of toys, emergency actions, feeding, diapering, games and more. Space is limited. It will be held at the Community Services Building 443 South 200 East on Monday May 17, Tuesday May 18, Wednesday May 19 and Thursday May 20 from 3:30 pm. to 5:30 pm. The cost is $30.00
Mothers Day Craft
Kids, Mothers Day is Sunday May 9, 2010 tell your mother you love her with a gift you make especially for her for Mothers Day. For kids ages 5 to 11. You can register online at www.springville.org. Or at 443 S. 200 E. starting on Monday, April 5. The last day to sign-up is April 23 at 5pm. We will be crafting on Thursday, April 29 at 4pm at the Community Services Building (north side) 443 S. 200 E. Cost is $6 each.
Winter Recreation
Enjoy Utah Valley’s finest winter recreation at the Springville City Jolley’s Ranch, in Hobble Creek Canyon. You’ll find nearly five miles of groomed trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing, a tubing and sledding hill, and parking areas for snowmobilers. Ski and snowshoe equipment is available for day rental. There are heated restrooms and a warming shelter. Season passes and group discounts are available. Marathon Training
Want to run your first 26.2 mile marathon this spring? Join a group of other runners that have the same goal of training for and completing either the Ogden Marathon on May 15 th or the Utah Valley Marathon on June 13 th. Each runner will receive a detailed 16 week training plan. Group “long runs” will be planned for Saturday’s beginning in February. Weekday group runs may also be organized. An informational meeting will be held at the Springville Recreation Office on Wednesday January 13 th at 6:30pm. The registration fee is $10.
