He graduated from SHS and served an LDS mission in the UK British South Mission. He graduated from Brigham Young University in Accounting and Business Management.
He is married to Carolee Eberhard. Together they (mostly Carolee) raised six children - Jill Lancaster, Julie Biesinger, Becky Larsen, Ryan, Brad and Holly Lambert. All of their children live in Utah Valley except their son Brad who is attending school at The Ohio State University. Niel is the proud grandfather of sixteen grandchildren.
He is a self employed CPA, financial advisor and tax preparer in Springville. A municipal auditor and city advisor for over thirty years, Niel has an extensive background in governmental accounting, budgeting and city finances.
Past community service includes a six year term on the Springville Planning Commission. He has also served in various positions in the LDS Church and was recently released as the Stake President of the Springville Utah Hobble Creek Stake after serving for nine years.
He enjoys family trips to Lake Powell, Model A Fords, working shoulder to shoulder with his kids, fishing, gardening, family activities, leisure drives, mini vacations with his wife, his 1977 MGB and work. He loves Springville and hopes his service as a city council member will benefit our great community. He truly believes “our citizens are our most valuable asset”.
