Sewer

The minimum monthly fee is $14.75. In addition, $1.10 per 1,000 gallons of water used is charged as measured by the average monthly usage based on the water meter reading taken in March of each year. The March reading reflects water usage during the winter when outside uses such as lawn watering would be at a minimum. This calculated sewer rate is then used for the entire year until another reading is taken the following March. For new accounts, an average billing will be used until an actual usage pattern can be established.

Garbage Collection

The monthly garbage collection fee is $10.75 for the first container. This is automatically charged to all residences that have an electrical connection. Additional cans can be requested and will be charged at $7.50 per container per month.

Equal Pay Plan

The City offers the opportunity to enter into an equal pay plan in the fall and spring of each year. To qualify, an account must be at least a year old, and payment on the account must be current. After six months, each account will be reviewed and adjusted as necessary. A new average will be calculated every twelve months., To remain on the equal pay plan, payment must be made every month. Non-payment will result in switching the account back to a normal pay plan based on actual usage each month.

Service Fee Applications

A $40.00 service fee will be charged in the following circumstances:

  • Utilities have been shut off because of delinquency in payments.
  • Connections are made outside of regular workday hours so employees have to be called out.
  • Service is disconnected and then reconnected because the users have requested this while they are gone for an extended period.

Receipting Of Fees
